Mariam Qureshi co-founded or helped create the Lotus Art Gallery in Edmonton's art district in 2016.

Initially, it open as an art installation on 124 Street co-directed and founded by artist Mariam Qureshi. The gallery served as a creative community for artists to showcase their work and collaborate with other artists in the area.

Over time, It evolved into a split operation with the upstairs dedicated to Lotus Cafe business and the basement dedicated to art.

In 2024, Mariam Qureshi relocated her studio near the Old Strathcona Farmer's Market and Whyte Avenue and is now working out of the Foundry Studios.

Our first online initiative was : The Bloom Exhibit. it was a huge success, attracting artists from the United States and showcasing their work during the pandemic.

Since 2023, Mariam Qureshi's art work has been exhibited in Galerie CAVA, Bay1Gallery, GrimandiArtGallery in NewYork along with other galleries in Europe. She is a recognized member at the Federation of Canadian Artists Galleries and Qureshi was recently selected to be an artist for UNESCO and IAVA (International Artists Association).

As the gallery moves into a new era and a new way of life, Mariam is offering new classes and art exhibits to a select few artists who share her passion for building community and dedication to their craft.
