LOTUS ART GALLERY DECLARES WAR ON UGLY ART WITH ABSTRACT PAINTINGS

Edmonton, Canada: “The Abstruse” art exhibit, will be launched August 2020 on Artsy and will open to the public in September 2020 at the gallery, with a mission to share high-quality abstract art pieces.

How do you deal with art that is completely untethered from the world of recognizable objects and more importantly how do we decipher for what is beauty in that case? We teach our children not to judge the book by it’s cover yet we are fascinated by standards, brands, the “look” and rarely open our minds to the unreal, the broken, the questionable, the distant, the pulled away, the mysterious, the unspoken, the abstract and the abstruse.

Contemporary artists, Mariam Qureshi and Juro Kralovic will be presenting their abstract works filled with this enchanting and charming creativity in this exhibit. Most of the works were created over the last year.
